A feature film written, directed and produced by Dave Fugett
A currently separated couple agree to meet for a hike. Derek arrives full of optimism and charm. Brooke brings divorce papers for him to sign. They have no clue a psychopath is hiding from the law near the trail. When their paths cross, a terrifying game of cat & mouse ensues as the couple are forced to work together in order to survive.

      IT'S A HORROR MOVIE  :-)

FYI - I actually had 2 festival directors from well known fests call me, full of praise and accolades for the film....telling me they want the film in their fests IF we could trim it down to around 90 minutes. Of course I politely declined. So, there would be two more "official selections" laurels IF I weren't so stubborn.  Dave

The Lost Sanity Horror Fest sent me "official selection" laurels (see below) but failed to send me "Best Feature Film" laurels. Instead, they gave me this sweet little trophy which is wayyyy better than a piece of paper. Thank you, once again to the organizers.

I was bored during Covid so we submitted to four festivals and was accepted by all of them. Fests are online during this pandemic but a few provide the filmmaker with video comments from audience members. Freakin' awesome! Click on "News" above for a link to the comments.

Unfortunately, I had to withdrawl from the Shockfest event. After communicating with the organizers of the fest, I didn't feel my film was a good fit in their festival.
Shit happens....

Actually, it's not about being stubborn. It's about fest directors putting more value on quantity than quality. I will spend time talking about what I learned playing film fests in the upcoming podcast.  Click on the "Extras" link above for more info.
